Mike Melton
Mike is a passionate and committed mental health professional who believes life can be tough, even when someone has all the tools at their fingertips. Mike believes each person is deserving of nonjudgemental services and a listening ear during any phase of life. Even when those phases or situations don’t seem like a “big deal”, having a listening ear can help find ways to manage those feelings of anxiousness.
Mike received his master’s in clinical counseling in 2016 and has spent the last decade serving youth and families in various settings, including youth community placements, residential treatment facilities, and as a child welfare caseworker. Mike’s experience through these settings has equipped him with the skills needed to help youth and families navigate many of the challenges associated with adolescence, changing family dynamics, and related issues.
Mike employs a unique blend of evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive-Behavioral and solution focused therapy with music and physical movement in his practice. Through creating a safe, nonjudgemental space for all, Mike is dedicated to ensuring all his clients can navigate current and future challenges in meaningful and impactful ways.
