I graduated from CSU with a B.S. in Human Development & Family Studies. I interned at the Harmony House in Larimer County supervising visits and helping with transitions between parents, children & placements. I worked 3 years as a counselor at Reflections for Youth; supervising teens who had high risk behaviors and were removed from public schools and their homes to receive treatment (to address trauma, substance abuse, mental health, aggressive & or rebellious behaviors). I began working with Larimer County Family & Children services in 2009 as a Case Aide supervising court ordered visits between parents & their children who were removed due to abuse & neglect allegations. After working 3 years as a Case Aide, I was promoted to a Child Protection Caseworker where I worked with a variety of DHS families who had issues with abuse, neglect, cognitive impairments/disabilities, trauma, gang affiliation & parents who had been involved in the judicial system for various crimes. I am a trained Informed Supervisor and Child Protection expert witness for CO. After working with DHS for 7 years I became a Probation Officer where I helped supervise high risk offenders through the Colorado Problem Solving Court DUI (multiple offenders Felony cases) & the Adult Drug Court program (serving offenders who had multiple convictions that were drug related & had co-occurring mental health & substance use disorders). I am a Certified Nursing Assistant & have started a wellness business called Wells & Wellness LLC; providing medical grade red light treatment & Myofascial Release (both holistic healing services which reduce inflammation & decrease pain). I am passionate aboutsweving the community, helping people be better, feel better & do better to improve their lives & create a positive ripple impact.
